How to get white oak floors in your home
I’ve been lucky to have a few white oak-flooring options at home, but I’m always a little wary of buying them when I can afford to.
They come with some issues though.
Like the fact that they tend to crack when you put them in the dryer, so they can get quite hot.
This is one of the reasons I’m glad I’m a bit more careful about how I install them.
I’m also aware that white oak does not have the long-term stability of other species of oak, such as birch, maple or pine.
If you’ve got a white oak house with a basement, I would strongly recommend using it.
